In the Olare Motorogi Conservancy we were able to observe two bull elephants fighting. Unfortunately it was getting darker and darker and the rain was getting heavier, so we had to leave them.

On November 9th we were very lucky with a great family of lions. It was cloudy, not too hot, and the Cubs were in the mood to play. The adults continued to watch the wildebeest passing in the distance. We spent almost an hour with them.

We observed a wild dog pack of 27 members (20 adults and 7 puppies). We already met the bright alpha female in 2014. At that time she had 16 puppies. Wir beobachteten ein Wildhundrudel mit 27 Mitgliedern (20 Erwachsene und 7 Welpen). Die helle Alphahündin haben wir bereits 2014 kennengelernt. Damals hatte sie 16 Welpen.

Auf der Xwabaxwa Campsite in der Khwai Region waren wir umgeben von mehreren Elefantenfamilien. Sie kamen uns so nahe, dass wir uns ins Auto zurückzogen. Es war eine wunderschöne Erfahrung. At Xwabaxwa Campsite in the Khwai region, we were surrounded by several elephant families. They came so close to us that we went back into the car. It was a wonderful experience.

The cheetahs are clearly using the Kenobi strategy: they have the higher ground.
Seems obvious to me that the cats want the vantage point of whatever is highest around them . . . not unlike house cats. Would be interesting to see what happens if the canvas tore and someone ended up with a cheetah in their lab.

They say that the reason lions don't attack is because they see the car and tourists as one animal. But if the Cheetahs display otherwise behavior that shows they clearly can distinguish the car from the people in it, then lions can tell the difference. So how do they not attack? Is it because they've experienced bullets??

I'm against wild animals in their natural habitat becoming dependent on or otherwise, socializing with tourists. Please stay away from them.
That's unavoidable. The world is not big enough for humans and wild animals to be separated. It's best to let them depend on humans.
@magnetospin, I think that's a recipe for disaster. Most wild animal species need space to roam unimpeded by humans in order to survive as a species, and evolution has naturally led to a system where we are demonstrably dependent on the web of life that is here. I think, and hope, that we can use our human wisdom to respect that we are not the only ones who need this earth, and so leave room for others. Others that we can enjoy from a distance, while learning from them and letting them feed our spirit.

Someone should the lady at 1.17 that if the Cheetah was savage she'd be attacked already. The cats were curious.
So everyone in comments section have never been to African wild life sanctuary... Truth is : wild animals perceive humans or anything inside the safari car as part of it. Example: we see a tortoise body and its head the same. Like wise, they think that safari car is big body and humans as many heads, or part of the safari etc. If anyone comes out of the car solo, they will attack.

Big cats don't attack human beings except when they feel threatened, simply because Human beings are not a reliable source of food for them and they cannot adopt their hunting tactics for a source of food that appears once in a year . Lucky us
All big cats are dangerous. You might be attacked just for being there, on their turf. Cheetahs are the only exception. Because of their docile temperament they have been valued companions from the pharaohs of ancient Egypt to the present,
@@gingersam851 you’re 100% correct. Cheetahs are practically harmless.
Cheetahs usually don’t weigh more than 90 pounds maximum. Your typical cat is going to be several hundred pounds lion 400-600 easily. So cheaters are not a huge threat to humans.
